Stress

I have been under some stress the past few weeks.  It is hard to see the big picture when you are stressed.  I tend to concentrate all my energy to the stress until I can not function properly.

Here is a definition of stress from wikipedia: “Stress is the condition that results when person-environment transactions lead the individual to perceive a discrepancy, whether real or not, between the demands of a situation and the resources of the person’s biological, psychological or social systems. …”

There are various ways to relieve stress and some are much healthier than others.  I am generally able to relax with basic workouts and breathing, but these last few weeks have been rough.  I am going to be spending a week in July and hopefully that will help me clear my head and refocus a bit.  I will be in Piqueros, which is a bit remote.  I am excited because it is close to the one area I have found that I would love to retire.  So I might do some land shopping.

This video is about how my head has felt the last few years.

If you have any great stress relief techniques let me know.  Ultimately keeping things rolling is what works best.  It is when I get stuck on things that I get stressed.

I do my best to minimise stress. In the past, most of my stress was a result of being in a job and at the other extreme of not having a job and running out of money.

Now I am out of the job, I don’t own much stuff, rent a cheap house, work for myself and have a nice nest egg of cash in the bank. This keeps the stress levels low.

Before I used to go to a health club every lunch time to escape from the office and de-stress. It was a monthly membership subsidised by my employer.
