Stimulus Package

I had thought of a few ideas for the stimulus package as posted earlier.  Incorporating a business and starting a stock investment was basically the best I could think of at the time.  Another thing you could do is get some internet realestate, whether it is a domain or other web entity.  For many domains, there is just a small annual fee.  There is the potential to get big money back from these.

If you are going to want to splurge, visit your local gentleman’s club.  It is one of the few ways that the money will “stay” in the US and help out our economy (at-least temporarily).  The money is stalled in the US before it goes into your favorite dancers car or habit.  This is either the best or worst idea depending on whom you speak with about the stimulus package.  You definitely need to try and knock down your debt if you got it.

Orlando

I am in Orlando for a few days this week.  I am here on “business” so I am not visiting the parks or doing anything really fun at all.  I left seeing photos of Suge Knight on various websites.  I have read various things about what had happened and, well, he got jacked up no matter what you read.  I would say he is one of the most influential people in the movement of hiphop to the mainstream period.  He brought forth The Cronic, enough said.  But just to name drop some more, Snoop, Tupac…  Suge had been “off to college” for a bit and was trying to make a comeback.  This latest news episode is just one of those things that is very symbolic.  Once you make it to the top, you are not guaranteed to stay there or even to have respect from the industry…

Suge has many things going on that I am just glossing over, but you can not deny what he did for the game. Anyhow, back on topic, I will be here in Orlando for a few days trying to grind some.

Luxury Motivation

I was checking out Luxist today and noticed two things.  The new batman car is a lambo murcielago LP640.

Then they had a pic of Pacman Jones house, which is for sale, since he is moving.  I have never seen such a big tv on a swing arm…

The Big Idea

I have only seen a few episodes of The Big Idea.  It seems like a very motivational show and I might even say that it is a bit educational.  The show comes on CNBC, so check the guide to record. The guest are generally well to do, self made individuals that have advice to give.  Here is a clip of a simple idea put into action.  Selling cereal in a restaurant.  There is not much more to it than that, but it is an idea that can explode if implemented correctly.  Here is the video.

One of the more educational and motivational parts of my education was case studies.  I enjoy reading about how other companies succeed and fail.  I feel that I get the most out of that type of educaiton.  There is a good article over at INC magazine about how to start up a business during a recession.  There are many benefits if done correctly.  I will just add that for most businesses you start now they will probably not really get off the ground until we are out of the recession.  I have a friend starting a new business in the retail market (franchise).  He is pushing full steam ahead and will not open doors til fall 2009.  If he were to sit around and wait for it to happen it might not happen.  Even though he is pushing hard and hustling on it, there is still a lot to do before things open up for him.

Check out the article here.

I was thinking about failures and success today.  I was thinking about how many people actually run for president.  There are probably 30 or so serious contenders every four years that start raising money.  Many drop off quickly then we are left with 3-5, which drops to really 2.  Ultimately there is one winner of the presidency.  I feel though that just being in the race is winning.  Al Gore has made quite a bit of change since failing.  John Edwards is doing good as well.  In a lot of ventures you can win, just by playing.  The thing is though, that you have to participate.  You can not succeed without trying.

Dubai Mansion

These pics are of a crib in Dubai that is roughly 24,500 sqft.  It has an underground garage and room for the driver.  There is the home theatre, pool, gym and all the good stuff.  Check out the pics of the cars in the garage after the break (Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Continental gt and a Bentley Arnage).

Life is Hood

I was thinking last week about the gaps in society and how it feels good to be a bit beyond worrying about day to day bullshit.  I was thinking of how I used to get pulled over by cops for walking down the street (looking suspicious) to getting pulled over by cops in my car when I got my license.  Just being able to pay bills on time and not worry about penalties is a good thing.  Getting on your feet can be a huge step, no matter where you come from.  When you start from nothing or from debt life is hard.  It takes money to get moving.  And you really gots to hustle to make things happen.

I was thinking of how great it felt to be paying bills on time and making things happen.  It is a crazy thing and might seem simple but having bills paid is a good feeling.  Not having to stress about something coming up that I don’t have planned for, etc…  It felt good, until I got home and had three lapsed bills waiting for me in the mail box.  For some reason these were actually paid but not updated in the right places…  Anyhow I got some straightening out to do this week (and following up todo).

It appears the BS might never end.  And when you are dealing with the government you have to walk on eggshells.  Anyhow this was just a bit of a rant. I was feeling good, then got smacked in the face back to reality. The hustle and grind can never stop.

Heavy Hitters III

I finally got the third copy of Heavy Hitters.  It took atleast two weeks longer than I thought it would to hit the shelves here at the local Barnes and Noble.  I was actually impressed with the issue.  I felt it would be hard to keep up the good work.  To my surprise they keep bringing it and harder each time over at Heavy Hitters.  Here is the cover.

Saleen S5S Raptor

This car caught my eye.  It could go into production soon.  I like idea of there being lots of options for high end sports cars.  Competition in general will push everything to better (not always, but that is the concept atleast).
