Just so you can see that I am not hating, here is the Lamborghini Reventon.  When I think of dream cars, I think first of Ferrari then Lambos.  Not sure why but that is how it goes. Pics are ganked from autoblog.  I have seen this listed at 1 to 1.2 million on various sources.  This car speaks for itself.  I personally feel bad for the engine being all naked.  But the V12 gotta breath.  This has 20 horses over the Murcielago LP640.  We have a local dealer here in Raleigh that carries a few Lambos, doubt this will be showing up anytime soon though…

This speaks for itself.  I am a bit behind on this but it is something that keeps me motivated.  Ferrari has always done that for me.  When I was growing up it was a dream to make 100 g’s and get a Ferrari.  100 g’s will barely get me the same Ferrari I wanted back in the day used.  That is what keeps me motivated though, knowing what is out there for me.  Ain’t nothing to it but to do it.  This is a modified version of the super-Enzo.

I am trying to stick to my budget. It is not easy. I am also trying to stick to the timeline, which is also not easy. I am definitely “learning” too much. Do not skip and buy cheap paint to cover used walls. Seems the cheap paint is just to cover new drywall. Getting decent paint might also save time in not having to do various coats.

Time to make up time and get the house sold. I was listening to music while working this weekend. (Quick sidenote, listening to XM. I have both XM and Sirius. I am a much bigger fan of Sirius. I am going to be taking Sirius to the site the next few weeks. Raw 66 has nothing on shade 45. Granted both overplay paper bag boy orwhateverbs . Sirius has more of what I need. Either way, grinding 14 hours straight with XM was rough. I have the programming schedule down. I was predicting the next song, not good, G-Unit Saturday was what I needed.) Anyhow the power for the outlet I was using went out. The whole wall went out. Went to the breaker and tried to flip it, it was not help. Was not what I needed to start out the weekend.

I am working on a 2100+ sq ft house. I painted with one other guy and almost got the whole house painted, got all but the trim painted. Actually got the trim painted, but have to do another coat. Definitely a grinding weekend. Have to finish paint soon, because tile is coming up which has carpet following quickly. I also want to get it on the market asap and sold asap. I do not want to find more problems that cost more and take more time. I do have a little bit of room in both the budgetandtimeline, but this is it… Keywords for week are Budget and Timeline. And if you were listening to Raw 66, “deep in the south” is stuck in the head.

I am also looking forward to the next deal. I am in Raleigh but I am looking to either get a house or two in Durham or land a bit east. Will weigh those two options over the next few days and post the positives and negatives of both from my view.

Hitman

I saw the trailer last night. It sparked some interest. Seems like a decent premise. Comes out on the 21st so there might be sometime to watch this over the holiday. According to the summary on IMDB Hitman is “A gun-for-hire known only as Agent 47 (Olyphant) is ensnared in a political conspiracy, which finds him pursued by both Interpol and the Russian military as he treks across Eastern Europe. hired by a group known as “The Agency” to kill targets for cash.” Check the trailer.

If you have not heard this yet, check it.  Ghostface AKA Pretty Tony is putting out a new self-help book.  The book will include an audio piece with Ghostface telling you how to do good.  According to MTV, the book “offers nuggets of street wisdom on the key elements to becoming your own personal success story: livin, hustlin, lovin, eatin and the all-encompassing Toneology.”

He gives advice from matching your clothes, not sleeping all day and night, stop sucking you thumb and brushing your teeth.  I could not have said it better myself.

The audio is in the middle of this site

Random Thoughts

So I have been on the grind with the house.  Got a few things happening.  We are checking out the A/C unit, which is hard to try and get to turn on when the outside temp is cooler than the lowest setting on the A/C (59 degrees).  Putting in new laminate for the cabinets.  Painting this weekend.  Throwing up an over the range microwave, putting in a few new doors, a new window, etc…  Basically just a lot going on.  I am trying to get it sold asap.  It is obviously not a good time to throw it on the market statistically.  But I have bought real estate the week of Christmas, so the world does not completely stop.

I will be posting some books over the next few days that you can throw on your Christmas lists.  These are all going to be strategy books.  I have been recommended a bunch of good ones, so I will be buying some as well.

I was looking for a bit of music to motivate me today and fell on some old UGK.  Below is “Tell me something good” off of Too Hard to Swallow.  Cocaine in the back of the ride and pocket full of stones are also great songs off of this album.  The whole album is good.  These songs got me a bit motivated this afternoon after a long morning (no lunch yet)…  This is before three 6 mafia (syrup sippin) and big pimpin, for those keeping score at home.  I will be putting videos that I think are more than just motivational in the video category.  This is just motivational to me.

Hustle Strategy

When you do a google search for “Hustle Strategy“ I am not the top page.  There is an article that was published by Harvard Business.  The summary of the article is as follows.

“The age of competitive strategy may be past. Sophisticated managers are learning that handsome returns come directly from superior strategic execution–not strategic planning. Their method: hustle and get it right. A look at the financial services industry provides valuable lessons. Few of the bases of competitive advantage exist–no economies of scale, few obstacles to product imitation, minimal costs and time required to bring out a new product. The organization’s people and their executional skills–not the company’s fixed assets–determine the bottom line. “

That is what this blog is about.  Hustle and Strategy.  While they discredit strategy a bit for hustle, I think the combination of both is deadly.  Hustle and strategy do not have to be independent.  The best hustlers use strategy.  If you do not use strategy you are not being as effective as you could be.

Austin Crib

This is a nice little pad.  If I were to live in a downtown area I would want something like this.  Check out all of the pics after the break.  I found this house over a luxist a while back.  It has four bedrooms, lap pool, theatre, spa, etc…  It was listed at $7.5 million.

Cell Phones

I just copped a new cell.  I need something that I can use to keep tabs on all that I am doing and one that I can have fit into my pocket.  I am using just a basic pda during the day.  You can get them through your carrier or through a discount place such as amazonAmazon is a decent place to pick up a cell phone at a discount if your two year plan is up.

Since I am using two phones, it would be a while to wait to get a new phone for me.  So I bought an unlocked phone on ebay.  I was able to get it a bit cheaper on ebay since I was having to pay “full price” per se.  If you need one or two cell phones, you can get them at decent prices on either Amazon or ebay.

I went old school.  Here is what I will be rocking during the day and in the evening .
